Yahweh created the world, set up natural law to run it, and created humans to serve as viceroys and enjoy dominion over the earth. But that is not the view of the Enviro-Statist see it. Let me quote from Mark Levin, Page 134 of Liberty And Tyranny: "On its website, the group Earth First! declares that it 'does not accept a human-centered worldview of 'nature for people's sake'. It insists that 'life exists for its own sake, that industrialized civilization and its philosophy are anti-Earth, anti-woman and anti-liberty--To put it simply, the Earth must come first.
Is not man, therefore, expendable? And if he is, is not the suppression of his liberty, the confiscation of his property, and the blunting of his progress, at all time warranted where the purpose is to save the planet--or any part of it--from man himself? After all, it would seem that there can be no end to man's offenses against nature if he is not checked at every turn."
Levin wrote this book in 2009. He revealed to me how the Progressive worship one god, Big Government. He also delineates the straight connection between how radical environmentalist and their preference for enforcing their pro-nature, anti-human agenda through three connected means: use Big Government force and compulsion to manage the economy and civil society, justified in the name of saving the planet. This unholy trifecta of extreme environmentalism/Big Government/Communist nationalization of the economy are what he foresees as he warns us to fear and oppose the Enviro-Statists.
The Enviro-Statists want to return to human life and society occurring in a state of nature--their deep anti-humanism discloses their hatred of humans and the governmental, urban and unnatural societal conditions on the grid that make them free, wealth, comforted and blessed. Let not the back-to-nature crackpots get their way and seize all power to take us back to a socialist stoneage.
