Praise God, and give the glory to De, not ourselves: "Not for us, O Lord, not to us but to your name give glory because of your kindness, because of your truth."
Notice how the psalmist points out why God is due De's glory--give De glory, not just because De is powerful and our boss, but because De is kind and loving, and shows a divine passion for seeking truth.
There can be no goodness without love and love of truth, and these fundamental, praiseworthy traits of De are why De should be given glory.
