False Contrast

Some Christians posit that only through pure faith in Christ, and voluntarily accepting His free gift of grace—which we do not deserve—will we be saved and get to heaven.

Others argue that the key to heaven is opened for an individual that is ethically good.

I do not know if these inconsistent, contrasting statements are contradictory, contrary, or merely inconsistent, but I do know that this opposition if a false contrast.

Just as one cannot be a good egoist (loving self first, and thus able to be healthy enough to love others) without being a good altruist (loving others through loving the self), one cannot get to heaven by faith or works separate from each other.

To be morally excellent is to come as close as one is able, as a fallen creature, to the moral stature of the Good Spirits, those paragons of perfection or near perfection. To be morally excellent, the Good Spirits are beings with a profound sense of faith, hope, and actual awareness of and intimate communication with the Divine Couple and all benevolent deities.

Because their faith in the benevolent deities is deep and unshakable, their exceptional moral excellence is evident and present in all they do and are. Excellence in faith and moral worth reinforce each other and enrich each other constantly so the false contrasts of getting to heaven alone by faith, or by good works alone, disappears and is resolved.
