I have always been a sacred humanist, believing that humans are special, living angels serving God, at their best as enlightened, developed individualists.
I would never claim that we are the center of the universe or that the meaning and purpose of the universe is anthropocentric. That is not verifiable or relevant.
We are important enough and should do all that we can do, and be all that we can be, without making wild claims about what God and intelligent beings are doing in some alternate universe.
