The compassionate conservative is one that gets people off of welfare, off the public dole, helps them get a job or open a business, preaches to the about the wonders and bounties of capitalism. When each American, if sane and able, is empowered and actively engaged in gainful employment to care for his family and himself, he then learns to be and enjoy being self-sufficient, independent of government financing, interference in his personal life nor hurling directives at him anymore.
As the influence and reach of this conservative approach spreads, it will again be discovered that a compassionate conservative philosophy is one that encourages the individual to be self-sufficient and prosperous, devoid of government support or input.
