Be careful what you promise.
Do not promise God that you will give thanks eternally or be eternally grateful some some requested blessing being bestowed upon you.
We are fickle, weak, able of changing our minds. Promises of eternal thanksgiving and eternal gratitude are overreaching. Do not do it.
