On Page 24 of Liberty and Tyranny, Levin states this: "The Conservative does not despise government. He despises tyranny."
Our bloated government that is operating outside of its constitutional limits is tyrannical and untrustworthy. That is what conservatives despise. Government right-sized and federalist within constitutional framework is ideal and sought after.
