A Human Right

Some ask if democracy is a human right. I would say not, because, democracy, however desirable, may degeneration into statism or mob rule as the majority gets their way, and invalidates, ignores and violates minority rights within society.

Rather I would restate the assertion to note that liberty is a human right, a natural right, and this can only be flourishing under constitutional republicanism, so living under a constitutional republic is a human right, a natural right, not living under restrictive democracy.

For republicanism to work, the Founding Fathers rightly pointed out that citizens must virtuous, or the constitutional republic would be degraded, destroyed and lost, and the citizens would lose their precious liberty in the process.

With a middle class mostly made up of individuating supercitizens that serve God, and serve in the army of the God Spirits, then liberty and constitutional republicanism will survive.
