If only we could just get money and power out of politics and government operations, it would all be clean, honest and efficient.
Here is a clue: where people assemble and associate money, power, politicking, factions and corruption are endemic conditions. They can be controlled and directed to finer ends, but they cannot be eliminated. Nor can the chance of rife corruption and tyranny creeping into our republic ever be completely eradicated.
