Prager has nailed it again by noting that what motivates the Left is boredom. They do not believe in God, and a life without faith is a life without meaning.
Humans need a reason to live, and a God to worship. If they declare that God is dead--De most certainly is not and not AWOL in some far distant corner of the universe--they invent a God to worship (Big Government) and a religion to worship (Leftism).
They seek to grow statism and socialism, and this illicit power struggle and power grab in the drug they are addicted to and can never get enough of.
