The Ten Commandments

Prager has a Prager video online, that I just reviewed, on the Ten Commandments. It is clear, brief and excellent.

Prager argues that God, the authority higher than governments, kings or any prophet, is the Absolute Being that rules the universe. Since God is all-knowing, all-loving and all-powerful, God's Ten Commandments shared over 3,000 with Moses for the Hebrews to follow and obey, are divinely inspired, written commandments, an objectively true set of values to live by.

Prager asserts that all other ethical codes are opinion, relativistic and objective. My existential and moderate natural law suggests that He is 90% correct and 10% mistaken, but the Ten Commandments are a pretty darn good set of Commandments to follow because God authored them. God Deself is a bit subjective, relativistic and speaking opinion, but God is still mostly-knowing, mostly-loving and mostly-powerful, and that source of ethical near-certainty is plenty inspirational and authoritative to build human life on, including saving our immortal souls.
