Exodus 7:6-7

Moses and Aaron are selected by Yahweh to speak for the Hebrew slaves before Pharaoh to seek their freedom for them. They were quite elderly: Moses was 80 years old, and Aaron was 83 years old. Imagine being tasked by God in advanced age to fight the good fight, as were these two brothers.

Today, when people are living longer and more healthy lives, on average, it is not inconceivable that one could be an 80-year-old maverizer still able to serve the Good Spirits, and indeed may be called into service as were Moses and Aaron.

Here are these verses from The New American Bible: “Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded them. Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Moses.”

Here are these same lines from the Holy Bible (KJV): “And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded them, so did they. And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.”

Note that these prophets had direct psychic or audible, direct conversations with Yahweh. Who today has that kind if loving, frank, intimate communicating with the Divine Couple?

Note too that they obeyed the Lord and did as they were ordered to do.
