You Are Stronger Than You Know

You are stronger than you know. You only use about 3% of your talent. You do not need to waste your life slaughtering innocents as a jihadi seeking to murder Israelis. You start an investment firm in Gaza to generate funds to loan to entrepreneurs so they can quit making war and then make money to have more money for their families.

You do not have do be an Indian outside of Calcutta living in abject poverty. You can get a college degree. You can invent newly engineered products and open your own factory, employing thousands of your fellow Indians.

You can be a 30 year old house wife in Cooperstown, North Dakota, married to a Norwegian farmer,  having and mothering three small girls. You can write books of world-class poetry while being a wife, a mother, all while driving a mail car delivering mail for extra cash on a rural route.

You can be a 20 year old black male in St. Paul with your trousers half way down your butt, but the light comes on, and you decide to pull up your pants, to get your GED, to join the Air Force, leaving the ghetto, the gang and a life of poverty and despair far behind. You have a gift for rap song writing, so over the next 12 years your write hundreds of lovely songs that spring from your African roots as translated as experienced by an American youth. You may make money and know fame, but your songs will be articulate, lovely, insightful and original. Get going. Grab the brass ring.

You are a French girl living in a provicincial village along the Spanish border. You have a gift for rare pastry baking. You rent a space. You start baking your treats. Rich people from around the world one day travel to that village just to enjoy good coffee and your exquisite pastries.

You are a poor Mexican boy surrounded by abject poverty, corrupt police, drug Mafia types. You start a political party, rooted in canton republicalnism along Mavellonialist lines. You may be assassinated or not, but you begin to make Mexico better at home, so this country so rich in potential needs not export its citizens to America anymore. You are changing things at home from the bottom up, the only real way to change anything.

You are stronger than you know. If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, there would be no stopping you. Once the young come to know this and believe this, no force on earth will hold them back. Go for it. May God travel with you as you do as you were born to do.
