All Are Responsible

There is collective guilt for not speaking out and standing up to fight for someone being victimized with grave injustice.

There is collective praise due to all when a people rise up and defend what needs defending.

There is individual guilt for not standing up and doing the right thing. Cowardice in refusing to do one's duty for fear of being injured is a refusal that God frowns upon. We are responsible to take a stand when called to make a stand. How we are hurt by doing the proper thing is not relevant. Duty comes first.

There are individual praise and merit to be paid to her that does her duty heroically, without complaint, at great personal cost. She may pay the price, even with her life, but she does what God calls on her to perform.
