When Yahweh sent Lot away and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and when his angels visited Lot and used a light weapon to repel a mob of would-be male rapists, it makes me wonder.
Did Yahweh and the angels use divine, spiritual energy, a spiritual laser, to repel and mob and incinerate those wicked cities? Will God reach that point now that nuclear war, a meteor or a Super-Ebola bug now are sent to wipe out humanity for its wicked disobedience?
Were Yahweh and his messengers super-intelligent beings here from a spaceship or having come through a time portal from another dimension to assist, guide and shape early human society? It is hard to say.
It is clear that God's patience and acceptance of our impiety and misbehavior has limits, with punitive this-worldly consequences.
