What can conservatism bring to a willing, interested citizenry? Small government, maximum personal liberty and the very real prospect for becoming personally wealthy.
Out of these primary political considerations, fulfillment of liberal requirements will be met, but liberalism will not be allowed anymore to be the primary political slant. All its proponents have to offer is big government, small individuals that are poor and suffering. Its adherents never accept that their ideology is morally and intellectually bankrupt no matter how often they try it, and it fails and collapses one more time. Next time they will get it right, do retort these perennial, self-deceiving optimists, but it never works.
