Exodus, 15, 2

After Yahweh closed up the parted Red Sea to destroy Pharaoh and his army in pursuit of the harried Hebrews, Moses and the Israelites sang this canticle of thanks to the Lord. Here is one line: My strength and my courage is the Lord, and he has been my savior. He is my God, I praise him; the God of my father, I extol him.

A song or prayer of praise and thanks sent back to God is most welcome and appropriate. God does for us always, but thanks on our lips does make De pleased.
