We should go back to no direct elections of Senators, as well as retaining the Electoral College for electing the President.
That way it force or nudge voters to be virtuous, strong and involved at the state and local levels to elect members of state legislatures that appoint wise senators.
How different it would be for conservatives to control America through controlling politics at the state and local level. Then those ruling representatives of the people would rule and legislate with the consent of the governed, and be compelled to obey or leave office.
Once our Tea-Partyed majority of adult citizens are individuators/anarchists/suoercitizens, then will run things in America once again.
