Defining Intellectual

I know of no definitive definition for what it takes to be regarded as an intellectual, but it is a desirable way to live: ever inquisitive, ever questioning, ever seeking to discover new trends, new facts, new imagined alternatives, uncovered essences by crafting an ideational description, a rationale for whatever is the object of investigation.

Ever seeking, ever learning--that would be the hallmark sign of an intellectual at work. The individuator is a very alert being that is mentally, incessantly engaged in studying, analyzing and working out how things operate.

An intellectual may not have a PhD from Princeton, or boast of sporting an IQ of 155, but being intellectually active, and valuing such effort on the part of others and oneself, and so praying to an intellectual God, these practices may anyone a welcome member of the club.
