We need to appreciate that the physical courage demonstrated repeatedly by the brave if frightened soldier in battle, and under fire, is a prerequisite for living a life of individuation. Whether the fighter and individuator is fighting criminals on the street, enemies of the state, or fascist agents of the state, the fighter must display physical courage under fire to kill and perhaps be wounded or killed. She cannot serve God unless she has skin in the game and is willing to sacrifice herself completely, if that is demanded of her.
To go one step farther, on the subject of courage. moral courage is the next tool or weapon in her bravery bucket that she must take out and wave like a baton, when so doing is called for. Whatever is her appraisal of reality, as a blog writer, it is her spiritual duty to call them as she sees them, letting the chips fall where they may.
She needs to be fearlessly and ruthlessly honest with herself and with all members of the public. She needed moral courage to leave the group that had limited, entrapped her and indoctrinated her with a pack of lies to repeat and live by.
Once, having left the group, she must have the self-confidence, sheer stubbornness of will and unfailing vision to stay gone and live and speak the truth, no matter how she is persecuted, punished and rejected by joiners and conformers.
Being a possessor of and wielder of physical and moral courage of a high order is basic to daring to live apart and maverize.
