I was pleased to learn this week when reading the local newspaper that there is a film festival here in the Twin Cities.
It has long been my vision that life in a highly civilized nation should be lived and enjoyed on the local level, completed by all kinds of wondrous creating and art-making going on, the outpouring of talent found in every local person.
Imagine where 90% of the citizens of a county were maverizers. Imagine the folk art coming out of that milieu! Wow! Films of world class quality written, directed, acted and produced by local talent.
Little Hollywood here and in Adel, Iowa.
Look ahead--in 100 years these universal centers of local culture will be everywhere, flourishing, always refreshing and endlessly impressive.
